If you like your technology with an 80s feeling, Ready Player One provides a fantastic way to escape into a virtual world that Ernest Cline has created. It is 2044, and most of the population escape their dystopian lives by entering OASIS, a futuristic MMO of sorts. When the owner of OASIS dies, he leaves control of the company and all his fortune to the player that can solve the riddles left behind. For years, many have failed until our protagonist, Wade,  finds the key to the first puzzle. Suddenly, he finds himself pitted against thousands of competitors in a desperate race to claim the ultimate prize that takes him through terrifying real-world situations. Ready Player One is pure escapism and a must read for technology fans.
